In 2023, the Discovery Nature Sanctuary (DNS) was accepted into the Pollinator-Friendly Public Garden Program sponsored by Bee Better Manitoba (www.BeeBetterMB.ca). This organization promotes habitat creation and care for native pollinators. The program includes 20 other Manitoba pollinator friendly gardens.
The DNS is also part of rare's 1000 Gardens Project (https://www.raresites.org/conservation/rares-1000-gardens) which hopes to become a Trans-Canada Pollinator Highway
