Nature Interpretation - Outdoor Classroom-  Festival

Whether you are a senior citizen out for a walk at the sanctuary, a student on a field trip or a family enjoying a weekend outing, there is always something you can learn at the Discovery Nature Sanctuary. To help you discover more about nature, you will find 10 informative beautifully designed interpretive panels which will help you learn about habitats and biodiversity in the sanctuary.

The Discovery Nature Sanctuary serves as an outdoor classroom. It's only a 45 minute drive or less to the sanctuary from 6 Manitoba school divisions. For public, private and home schools, the sanctuary is an excellent place to augment classroom curriculum in a natural setting.  It may be biology, history, art or other subjects which come to life in an outdoor setting.

The Discovery Water Festival is an exciting and action- packed event that brings together elementary schools, environmental experts and volunteers. It's an excellent opportunity to learn about water and its critical role in the ecosystem. The next festival is scheduled for spring 2024.
